brahma losing feathers on one foot?

Our dark brahma roo (young, still... but getting near full size) seems to be having some sort of foot issue. My wife noticed some blood yesterday, possibly a missing feather on his foot. Today, there's a small patch of missing feathers. His foot itself seems fine, just a bare patch, didn't see any more blood.

Is this something we need to worry about? Moulting?
 
Typically when my Brahmas molt you will be able to see their whole body losing feathers, they will look patchy, and the foot feathers are also lost, but I have never seen blood. Have you checked for scaly mites or other foot issues?
 
someone might be feather pecking, sitting beside each other on the roost sometimes will cause them to just reach over and peck out a few feathers, especially if your seeing blood. but better check for leg mites because they would make him peck his own feathers out.
