OH! And before I forget... Brahma experts... What's the easiest way (and earliest) to tell the roos from the pullets? I've got two, possibly three I suspect are roos.

Brahma s are very hard to sex!
What I did with mine was I always looked at the comb, You could post pics in maybe a couple of weeks asking on here!

Ok, thank you! One of my buffs is already getting pink on the comb, and they're 4.5-5.5 weeks old!

And, one of the lights is starting to get three rows of peas to her (HOPING) comb... we'll see how it goes... but I'm patient to wait.

I'm gonna hop on the Brahma thread... 4.5 weeks ago we bought 5 brahmas (2 light, 2 buff and a dark) and one BJG! Loving these guys so far, but my hubby thinks the brahamas look ridiculous with their 'hairy legs'. lol I'll get more pics soon, since these are already a couple weeks old... :-D This is during their first time outside...View attachment 796345 View attachment 796385

I found some pics on my phone I took this weekend! :-D So, here's my 4-5 week old chickies... I cannot get over how much they grow in a week!

My dark, one of my buffs, and I think both of my lights.... I loved that the one just decided to roost on my son. LOL

This is the one I grabbed out of an assorted pullet bin... I saw feathered feet and went for it, not knowing exactly what she might be. This is her with an EE and the second picture she is looking out at the Welsummer trying to make a break for it from the garage. I am working on integration right now with two littler ones before I add them to the girls in the coop.
