Just wanted to show off my new babies and get some feedback on them.

He's a pretty boy, but he's not a Brahma - maybe a mix. Brahmas have pea combs, more like your girl.

That's what I was afraid of. His comb is weird. I haven't ever seen anything like it. Is it possible that he's hatchery? It's not a single comb and I just can't figure it out.

He could still be Brahma and not a mix. When people are not careful when breeding, some things pop up. It happens some times in hatchery birds, because they have a huge flock of breeder birds and breeding is not monitored. He is a beauty with or without the correct comb. Be selective with his offspring and ikeeping only those with correct features and this can be corrected.

The Buff Bantam male in the post is most definitely a cross, look at the white tail feathers and also the Tail coverts are white. The male has ear lobes as large as a wattle should be , He just does not have Brahma type. The females have black ticing on the back coming from being too dark of a undercolor.

If you want to breed to the SOP let these go and find something to make the work easier.

Okay, here are my Brahmas from Cackle. They are probably not SQ, but I think they're quite pretty.

Although, I wouldn't object to an opinion or two about their quality.

Thanks! Enjoy!

Yes, that's all for now.

I'll stop bragging about my girls...

Well if you want my opinion their tails are to pinched together. They need to fan out more. For being hatchery birds they seem to have decent coloring.

Thank you! :)

Their tails do fan out when their butts get pushed down the ramp to the coop. But that doesn't count.

I didn't think they were great quality, but I was just wondering.
