Update... I am pretty sure I lucked out! BLUE PARTRIDGE BRAHMA ??????????

These chicks Momma/s came from a show in Ohio! I went to take better pictures now that their feathering is starting to show well and low and behold out of the 10 I am pretty sure 4 are blue... here are some pics (the older are reposted below) THOUGHTS??? you can see the difference between chicks in a few of the pics.... the blue has different finer lines in the feathers, the others have alot of dark and gold colors.....

I had been given 10 chicks told they are Blue PartBrahma.....

I also was given one young hen below also told Blue Partridge Brahma... this bigger one is a sister to these chicks momma...pictures are last...

Still trying to get more info on parenting

this chicks are gorgeous!! I don't know if they are Dan Powell blue part but they may ne a project or some mixing going on. Either way they are gonna be beautiful.


Can anyone tell me around how many weeks Gold Laced Brahmas start laying.

Does anyone know if feathered feet is a dominant trait? I crossed my Brahma rooster to an Easter Egger hen, and the resulting chick does not have feathered feet. I was so hoping for a feather-footed easter egger.

Feathered legs/feet is a dominant trait and is controlled by a number of different genes, I believe. I think you must have been a bit unlucky Summer 98.

Crosses betweens feathered leg and non- feathered leg usually results in an chick who has less and smaller leg feathers than the feathers-legged parent.
 
Is this considered a wide head and good brow? Sorry about the sun splotches - she didn't stick around long enough to get a better picture. Also, her tail is an inverted U, except at the moment she doesn't have much of a tail (molting).

I hope their legitimate....

Gold laced Brahma hen x buff laced Brahma rooster = buff laced and gold laced?
Or is it.

Palomino x gold laced?
