Yeah, thats why it is easier to win with a solid colored bird. It is extremely difficult to put perfect(or very near) color AND type in the same bird. Some shows I have gone to this year, 80% of class champions are black. I still prefer the parti colored bird.....its a challenge.

And you don't have solid color options if you want to show Brahmas.

True. Well, white and Black are recognized by the ABA. We are leaving for Shawnee right now. I'll let you know how it turns out.

I was wondering. I have two light brahma hens who are about two years old. They are hatchery stock( im hoping to get more breeder or show quality soon since they are my favorite breed), neither have gone broodie and i know they are usually broodie breeds. Is it mostlikely cause they are hatchery stock? Also is there much of a difference between bantam and LF brahmas other then size ( i know stupid question, just wondering to see which i should get).

Thanks Gary and Clare. I had BV, RB with a buff hen. Best light H, P, C were birds hatched and sold by me, and the best Light K, was BV, BB and res FL in a class of 123, out of a cockbird I gave and females I sold the man last year. I get as much or more enjoyment from others doing well with birds from mine as I do winning myself. I may need a lesson in which birds to keep and which ones to sell though!! LOL Sold eleven Buffs and all my darks, big and small.(no lights)

Does anyone have LF Dark Brahma hatching eggs, or can refer me to someone who does? I am looking for SQ if possible. Figured I would check here before posting on BST.

Thanks!
