Thanks Tammy. We sold out of Darks, Bantam and Large, at the Shawnee, Oklahoma show last December. I am completely focused on my Bantam Lights and Buffs now. I have Lights hatching like popping popcorn! Buffs are starting to pick up too.

I have 2 light brahmas hens and a dark brahma rooster. The girls are very sweet, the roo keeps to himself. I have 3 of their eggs in the incubator. I am really excited to see what they will look like when they hatch.

I posted these chicks over in the what breed or gender is this? Fourm.Someone thought it might be a mille fleur d' uccle and someone else thought that it might be a light brahma bantam. So I thought i would also post some pics here and see what you guys thought. They were labled assorted bantam, they have feathered feet/legs. They look identical too so I might just be posting pics of the same chick.

Ah, ok, understand, I didn't see the post that moderator removed, sorry
[/quoteI'm not using this site to sell eggs I was simply showing pictures aswell and commenting on shipping! My birds may look slighty different to the us standard but these are all true brahma not project cochin mixes and its actually what theyre meant to look like so maybe if you swing your eyes back in time a 100yrs you will see a true brahma then you may not be so hasty to judge! thought this was a friendly site but instead I've been bombarded with hatred because its not your standard dark brahma?

Sorry if you were offended. We were originally offended when you called our U.S. Brahmas "bantam crossbreeds". Your input is appreciated. The "bantam crossbreeds" statement was taken as an "attack". We do have different standards. There is a WIDE range of interest in Brahmas here. Some are hard-core(hard-headed) breeders,(myself included) all the way down to folks with a few backyard birds...... Usually hatchery birds, and many times the first chickens of any kind they have ever kept. There are birds here like you described...under sized, you could say "bantam crossbreeds". BUT, (and its a BIG one) there are also MANY very high quality, massive, majestic show birds that DO rival any birds on the planet. If you did in fact visit our country, you missed an excellent oportunity to attend some of our big shows. You would have seen the birds I describe. Lets put our differences behind us and concentrate on our mutual love of Brahmas. I am sure we can both learn something from one another in a civil manner. welcome to the brahma thread!

I know my birds aren't show quality yet, but big and beautiful is what I'm aiming for! I still have a mental picture of placing a silver dollar on their heads and making them walk around.

A young Marco, blue partridge, already showing his potential beauty.

Tinkerbell is not a fragile little thing.

An unconventional color, but all Brahma, and nearly 17 pounds - King Samson!
