Brahma roos typically feather in a little later than hens.I didn't think I'd be one of those posting my chicks pics so young to find out pullet or roo but they are just so different from each other, it has me curious.
They are Buff Brahma, 4 weeks old from Meyer Hatchery. Just wondering why one is so much more feathered than the other. Is the less feathered a male? I just love this breed and would be sad if one was a too as I can't keep him if he is. I do have a wonderful friend who will take him though and give him a wonderful, long life!!
Anyway:
below is Stella; a bit larger and more feathered and a bit larger comb and larger tail:
And here is Carmella. Less feathered, small tail:
It may be to early to tell pullet or roo but I'm curious about their difference between them.

HI! Is it just yellow lighting that makes this hen look like this? I see the walls have a yellow cast too. She looks so fluffy and bright.
