Wow, I learn something new every day - My guys are just all full of faults!

Well.....Its kind of up in the air. There is a group trying to get them recognized as "Gold Partridge" which is in fact lighter or more "orange" than true partridge.

Anybody seriously working on darkening their partridge Brahmas ? These guys are probably closer to a double laced pattern, but they definitely are not orange. Especially the fellow on the left.
Would they go ok with my laced girls until my penciled buffs get bigger? I would love to work on partidge, they are so pretty....and I love the girls I got from you.

I have not read all of the pages... I know there is someone who has white laced buff Brahmas, but can't recall his name, that is why I am posying this question here on the Brahma thread. Anyway, I would like to know- what is the genetic difference between "white laced red" and "white laced buff" colors? Also, what is the genetic difference between "white laced red", "white laced buff", and "Gold Laced" colors? Thanks!

Wow, Big Medicine. Love the color! Have you had any success getting that "red" (for lack of a better word) into the pullets as well?

Is anyone in Michigan needing a large fowl rooster? I have chosen the two I want for this season. I have 10 more to get rid of. One will be 2 in May. The rest were hatched last July. I am just beginning with chickens/ breeding and unfortunately hatched almost all boys last year!

are your males all light brahma large fowl?

Yes they are. I also had 2 black americaunas but they have both been taken. I would love a couple young large fowl females... If anyone ended up hatching too many, but unfortunately it is usually the other way around!

Didn't sort them out, or have my camera out there today, and still trying to figure out this new fangled phone. Let's see if I can make this work.

Now, these gals aren't much for pattern, top one closer to a blue red Columbian, but gives you some idea of the deeper red colors.

A couple more crowd shots showing various degrees of red among the youngsters. Keep in mind there are some Cornish project birds in there as well as many sortings to go before I am down to my keepers.
