I think I made them look smaller in the pictures than they actually are. These are huge huge birds.

I'll try to get some weights, and maybe some measurements as soon as I can.

They look shorter also because of all the fluff on the legs. They looked the same height as all the other brahmas at the show.

There was this one Buff Brahma rooster there though. He is tall tall tall! He wasn't exactly SQ but man he was tall. I'm sure he came to my knees or higher. He was in the for sale section.

I need to get some comparison pictures next to something everyone knows the size of... hehe I could take a picture next to my bantam cochins. Then they would look like godzilla.

One thing I noticed is they are bright white, but if their feathers get ruffled at all their undercoat shows through and makes them look smutty. I swear I freaked out 3 times thinking they had black all over them before I realized the wind has just seperated their feathers. lol

Can't wait to show you guys my F2 generation birds as soon as these guys start laying. I'll finally begin to show off one of my projects. My F1's have just been waiting and waiting.

I believe a slate grey to white color is allowed in the down, just not the feather.

Y'know, I didn't even realize - You raise/breed Kinders. How awesome, I know so few who do. I think I'm also one of the even more few with spotted Kinders.

I'm just waiting though for Sjisty to have some hatching eggs for sale.

Nice birds!!! If you ever start offering eggs for sale I would love to be on your list. Would be nice to actually get eggs that haven't had to travel across the US before they get to me. Depending on your location perhaps I could even pick them up...just thinking out loud.

Need some help from experts with Dark Brahmas. Is my Thelma really a Theodore? The chicken is 13 weeks old. I would appreciate your imput.

Thelma is definitely Theodore and will grow into a lovely big boy.
