I would never critize and batter anyone for their effors for a breed that we both love, how strange we are!

BTW...I have several colors of brahma, HOWEVER, the beauty of my G Partridge and Blue Partridge Brahma knock my darks, lights and buffs off the show block for me just looking at them... YES LOOKING day in day out, I enjoy a gorgeous bird!

Again all in opinion..... Sheeeezzzz we know showers have alot of cash and time into your stock, we get that, but you live it by choice, not us. I WANT BEAUTIFUL useful birds!! Bring on the mutts, IDcare as long as they are gorgeous!!

Again, CHERYL! GOOD FOR YOU!!! I could use a few tips with the website I just won hosting with the contests in the NYD hatch.

Tim I like you and hope you can be a wonderful guide to all of us. We all have common ground can we use it wisely...s

So sorry you are ill. There are rude people everywhere, you just have to take care of yourself and ignore what they are saying. You did not make anyone buy your Brahmas, they did so on their own. I too got my Brahmas from Debra Hodges, I believe we got some of them at the same time. I also got some of her Champagnes. I showed Cats for 26 years, I had the best of my breed in the world. I know how nasty people that show can get, it's hard to hear what they say but please don't take it to heart. I started with the Brahmas for the love of the breed, not to show, not to sell but I would like to share. I tried to get the best that I could find, being new that is hard. I do have a standard and I know how to breed to a standard but it takes time to learn and understand what is written.

Stunning birds, lovely colours I have just realised that my brahmas are mongrels too...Oh well, they are my feathery babies and it matters not! Such awesome birds with lovely personalities.

This is my light brahma, Her name is Brahmacita. Lays 3-4 double yoked extra large eggs per month and 3-4 normal eggs per week. Very freindly and calm bird.

I am wondering about the yolk issues, as I have a hen laying doubles at times too, I am hearing that its not good and something is wrong.... ANYONe shed some light onthe double yolker issues? in fact we got a huge one today .... I need to crack and see if its triple or something..... I want to fix whats wrong but I didnt come up with genuine answers!

I second this we are working with GLB and BLB I have a young roo who will be supper due to a single comb, luckily I have to of his cousins that do not suffer from this problem. I can not see breeding and not trying to improve what you are working with.

Actually, you might want to hang on to that cockerel if he has other good traits. I've read that the comb isn't worth a great deal of points in a show. Just thought I'd pass that on, I'm not even sure if that's always true.

Oh, and I have bred 3 generations of Ch Dobermans pinschers and am currently specialing a Grand Ch Australian cattle dog with a title in herding.

My favorite girl Layla Jr Here she is again with some of my buff girls. I know her head isn't amazing and she could be a little rounder in the rear but I think she is lovely anyway. I am on the hunt for a boyfriend for her...since the golden are so hard to come by does anyone know what would happen if I crossed her with a dark?

Thanks Fred, and my public apology for getting out of line. My desire is to promote Brahmas, sometimes I get a bit over zealous. I would encourage folks to do research on the breed. Join the ABC, buy a standard, go to APA/ABA sanctioned shows, meet breeders. I think there is a feeling that exhibition people are rude/arrogant and won't share their birds with backyard folks. I am sorry if I have contributed to that feeling. I have sold eggs here before. Most folks have done very well with them. My problem has been when some buy them, they immediatly sell them as "Tim Lindenborn" line birds. No culling at all. Some raise them to adulthood in horrendous living conditions, the birds become lice/mite infected/wormy....whatever. They take these birds and sell them.....you guessed it, as "Tim Lindenborn" line birds. To maintain quality in any line RUTHLESS culling is required. birds are sold as "such and such" line with no culling whatsoever. EVERY bird hatched is sold under the banner of whatever line and after VERY few generations there is no semblance to the original line. That is where i am coming from and that is my point of view. I breed and exhibit Bantam Brahmas in Light and Buff. I am pretty OCD about it.

It has been pointed out to me, rightly so, there is a vast diversity of interst/knowledge on this thread. I am sorry if I come across as mean-spirited or rude.
