So sorry for you. The situation with her eyes sounded so sad and having to cull her for the first time must have been a stressful experience. I haven't had to cull any of mine yet, quick where's some wood to knock on, and i'm dreading when that day comes. Sorry for you

They are 4 months and one week old..
I would like to sell one as i only have one hen but not sure which

I am thinking #2. but not sure what i am looking for on a nice roo,

Was hoping for some opinions
Im new to this and not sure what good looking chicken should look like or a nice looking bantam as these are my only bantams

My understanding was Dan Powell i believe was looking for a laced buff when he found these Palominos. Also wondered if either look more likely to produce a more laced effect feather or if its possible to tell AT ALL.

Those are poorly colored Buffs. Not sure what "palomino" is, I can't find it in my standards. Not much difference in the two I can see. Maybe #2 has a bit better tail.

Tim is correct. Palomino birds have a buff coloring, but the Dominant White gene turns their Black columbian markings a creamy white.

This is similar to the buff laced birds that have creamy white lacing instead of black in a gold laced bird.

This is a "correct palomino" rooster. But this is LF, and I know Buff bantams were bred into the LF to make the bantam variety.

I just want to say i like reading this form, and everyones inputs of different birds. I really enjoy when you everyone is posting pictures from shows down there and all their show birds. I've been raising standard brahmas in all 3 standard colour for the past 5-6 years up here in Ontario, Canada. It's hard to find new blood up here for them even harder for my darks and buffs. This fall i am going to be importing some new blood from down there. I will also be trying the cross of my buffs onto my lights. I am hoping to come down to a few shows there this year just to see in person what the brahmas are really like down there. Anyways keep up the great work and good luck breeding this year.

Thanks for all the info from everyoneVery informative ..I bought the eggs as palomino eggs Their roo shown did have white redand a cream yelow i think on it but i think black too not sure now A mix of these colors The pullets seem to both be a light color with a slight white spotting More predominant when younger faded now. I have never seen a Buff Brahma roo so dont know what they look like either to compare
.I just have 2 BB hens no roos
Bought these eggs b/c i like the color of the grown birds so no loss for a project or whatever but that white does look very nice on the pictured bird So now i know huh?
