..... dont hate me for saying that!!! but I like the look it gives and they are standard in Europe where the birds came from, right? the price is too high for me... but I would love to have some in my flock none the less

Don't think anyone is going to hate you for that. I don't have my English standard handy but I think they are allowed but not desirable? Maybe one of our UK friends can chime in. Anyway, pretty sure people were just pointing out that one of the things that makes a Brahma a Brahma (arguably a small thing?) is the lack of vulture hocks, which makes a bird that has them, despite whatever may be claimed, not a Brahma. Similar to how a Dark or light or buff Brahma with a single comb might be a pretty bird but its not a Brahma.

Apologies if someone was actually angry at you or "hated" you. LOL

I had a light brahma Roo like that, culled him hatched some new ones that are nice, I don't mess with them much unless I have to I catch them occasionally to check weight ect. But they have important rooster business so I leave them to it lol, they are huge and could do some damage to a child so mean ones should not be tolerated.
Mine isn't mean he just likes to keep to himself. Thank god he isn't mean, because i don't cull and i don't really like to rehome unless I absolutley have too.

I'm not sure how you would go about it. Being that vulture hocks is recessive and takes two copies for it to show, every chick out of that male will recieve a copy, and if the females are the same way, so will all the chicks. What would you breed in if you wanted to clean up the hocks ? I'm not familiar with that color/pattern, and can't tell enough from the photos, is it based on a penciled pattern ?
looks like lavenderbase color with yellowish hackle etc. pretty but those vulture hocks are a stumper.

If that is the case, theoretically you could breed partridge into them, and test mate to see who is carrying a hidden single copy of vulture hocks. Cull like a mad man, and be very carefull not to get that fault started in partridge as well.

Type wise are the partridge over here coming around much ? Being a variation of darks probably not helping them as much there, as if they were crossing to lights, or buffs even. Can't tell from the single photo of adult bird in the add if these Isabel's have any type either as far as that goes.
the seller says they are very typey, but then this seller represents these as being able to compete in shows here and win, when we all know that the vulture hocks that they bare are a disqualifying characteristic in APA sanctioned shows.
