i was given a broody today so when i got her home i grabbed 4 eggs from the nest for her to sit on. i really only want to breed brahmas though so this evening i put my 4 brahmas into a coop by themselves so that i know the eggs ill have are defo brahma. thing is i still havent finished my runs so the birds arent paired up, theyre all running together. i have a gold pair, silver pair and another silver hen that has really washed out looking colour and a black hen and my cuckoo monster (avatar) theres also a leghorn cock and a frizzle cock.

ill be really interested to see what colours come out of that mix and if there was a frizzle brahma or two id be delighted (even though they arent recognised i think they would look lovely).
what colours do u think ill get outta that mix.

im not worried about "purebred" as i only have a small backyard flock for my own amusement.

Try this and see...I always use the "show examples" and then click on the pics. You can modify the basics - like partridge by changing the drop downs to make silver penciled, or blue or whatever. Takes a little playing with to get it but can be fun.

Hi there! Here is a pic of my 3 month old Dark Brahma Bantam rooster "Little Foot." He has such a great personality, jumps up to get treats and is pretty tolerable of being held. My kids named him and he is definately many family members favorite in our flock :)

Thanks, I have a hard time keeping up with all the technical terms. How old are they when they become "big boys"?
Tim, Tim, Tim .....

My light Brahma pullet who I WAS going to show this weekend just broke a wing feather and pulled another. Guess I have to move onto the next pullet.

Hopefully she doesn't flip out while I'm washing her or I'm destined to fail. The other hen and the silkie did just fine. Still have to wash the two Leghorns and the two male Brahmas I'm bringing.
Dang that's not cool.
