heres my newest acquisitions a pair of Light Brahmas that are about 10 weeks old
as you can see the hen is so far all white, im hoping she will stay that way and that she produces a white son so that i can start a white Brahma line... how cool would pure white brahmas be![]()

what do ye think of these chicks? do they have good type etc?
My light Brahma pullet who I WAS going to show this weekend just broke a wing feather and pulled another. Guess I have to move onto the next pullet.
Hopefully she doesn't flip out while I'm washing her or I'm destined to fail. The other hen and the silkie did just fine. Still have to wash the two Leghorns and the two male Brahmas I'm bringing.![]()
Interesting, was not aware of this. Any theories being floated on what is going on ? One of the side effects of GMO corn ? Just kidding, kind of.Didn't think blue and black would be discussed here, but there's some weirdness goin on with that gene lately. I know two breeders personally who have had blues come out of black to black pairings and one person online has reported it. Three different breeds. Someone really good with genetics, what has been overlooked with that blue genetics?
Sorry about that. I was just lulled into a coma by all the mind numbing, recent posts. I'll try to be a "big boy"! The Brahma forum at SBB is dead and mostly head patting here, I miss Brahma talk. Sorry.Tim, Tim, Tim .....You're gonna get us in trouble.![]()

I'm still trying to figure out what all I have. I think my Light Bantams are mostly "roo'lets" I have quite a few Buff bantams growing out. Trying not to count. Also, 12 LF Lights from two hatches. They are very slow to feather, but I haven't had any picking (YET).I have about 100 birds growing out. I may go broke feeding them! Some look very promising. I have a larger grass grow out pen this year. I'm letting them mature more before I have to make culling choices. How are your birds looking?
Tim
