True. That's what I have to deal with all the time though. Every year at fair I go in and beat everyone. Kind of got used to it. I have won the fancy showmanship every year for the last six years. I KNOW I will have some competition though with the silkie. She's the only one I have and the plan is for her to not come back home after the show. I found a good saying on this website though. Don't remember where but it said to always go into a show and expect to lose and hope to win. There might have been more to it but that was the important part. Kind of think it's a good idea to follow that, that way I don't get to full of my self and then when I lose be a sore loser.Thats NO fun. Not really a win if there is no competition.
YES! My Leghorns used to not let me get within ten feet of them without flipping out. They have gotten better but I still have to catch them by surprise. Otherwise they run to the back of the pen and then I have to crawl to the back to get them. They are only staying so I can have a few eggs to eat when I am hatching the Brahma eggs. Might start breeding them if the two I am bringing to this show place well.Do those Leghorns make you appreciate your Brahma's temperment ?
Good attitude. Shows are just plain FUN, win or lose. A win is just icing on the cake.Quote:
