Hi!
Can anyone tell me what the rating is on these birds, so I can decide whether to keep them or not. I have 4 brahmas, 2 buff, 2 light. I will post pix of the others later.

Their tails look a little torn but that doesn't mean that they are bad birds. The light's back angle is a little off. The buff has a nice head but she could use a little more black in her wings and in her tails. Her buff could be a little daker. But she would be DQ because her ears are supposed to be red not white.

I can't see her legs but my opponents bird got DQ because it had much to much feathering. On the other hand not enough feathering can be a bad thing too. But I am a novice so another opinion might be better.

They look red to me. I think your seeing the feather tufts that cover the ear.IMO the buff is better because she has better type just lacking some black.

I am not a breeder or anything. But I like the buff girl better. Here tail looks better in terms of type. As mentioned above nice big head and overall I like her type better than the light. Here coloring could be better (too much buff, not enough black). But you could use her for her type and get a rooster that has better coloring.

Thanks, guys, for all the tips. My other buff does have a little more black, I think, and my other light brahma has A LOT more black and grey all over her back. Like I said before, when I get time... I'll post more pix. Thanks again! This is great!
