MG can and does affect all breeds. If a bird in proximity has it, chances are that it will be passed. And exposure can come through infected surfaces--shoes, clothing, etc. And I am pretty sure MG is also vertically transmitted (hen to egg)

I have heard good things about the product, "denagard" for the prevention and cure for MG. Anyone familiar with the product or anyone have experience with it?

I bought it to use as a preventative. It is supposed to be dosed in their drinking water. I tried. They wouldn't touch their water! I accidentally wiped my mouth with some residue. That stuff is horrible! Needless to say, it will be taking up space in the cabinet under the sink until I pitch it out.

I might be more inclined to use it if I actually had a sick bird, but I was afraid the stress of no water was worse than the danger of the disease.

Denagard is a great product to use against MG though it is not a cure. It will clear up the symptoms.

I know just had some very interesting points in it. The other one I found had pictures in it too. Definitely could see some differences in the tail area. I'm getting the SOP soon so I can quit living in the dark

I am hope to be getting the SOP soon, it is onthe christmas list lol. I will probably end up buying it for myself. You would think i would of got one by now, but yet another thing I haven't got aroun to yet

100% for sure am going to that show. Hopefully I will have a little competition since you're holding the state meet! Even at the Ohio National there were only a few Brahmas, in the junior show that is.
