Is there some secret for getting onto the Brahma club site? I try getting on and keep getting sent to eHow.

Feathered legs/feet is one of the traits that make a brahma a brahma. So yes, all true brahmas have feathered feet.

I just got a dark brahma bantam hen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She has vulture hocks, but she's really nice......I put her in with my 15 week old d'anver and she didn't pick at her once. I'll get pictures tomorrow.

Here's a pic of one of my dark Brahma chicks. I think their feathered legs are so cute. I can't wait to see them full grown.

Yippee!! I just got 5 Brahmas today. I also got 5 Giant Cochins and at the moment (two days old), I can't tell them apart! These are my first hatchery birds but I was so tired of all the roosters. I'm willing to give up some qualities for eggs and girls. These are my first Brahmas and I'm really excited to see how they develop and see their personalities. I ordered an assortment, but I have some yellowish with black-tipped wings which I don't think are Cochins and a black and white one. I'm excited!

Hi everyone! Allow me to count my chickens before they hatch.

After a year of convincing DH that getting chickens does not mean the end of civilized life, I'm down for three buff bantam pullets this fall!!! They were the first breed I was attracted to although I've 'flirted' with other breeds. My question is what size feeders and waterers would you recommend I get? I was thinking an 11lb feeder?

Hey everyone! I'm new to chickens, and have a "flock" (if you can call it that) of Silkies right now, about 2 months old. I didn't think I'd love them SOOO much!! Anyway, a friend of mine has a pair of Buff Brahma Bantams that I just can't stop thinking about. After doing some research, I've decided that I MUST have some Brahma Bantams, but I want the dark ones. :) So, I am desperately seeking an unrelated pair (breeding) of Dark Brahma Bantams from show lines. They don't necessarily have to be SQ, but I would at least like them from show lines, no hatcheries. Why are these so impossible to find? I've been searching and searching and cannot find any. I need young ones (3-5 weeks old because I'm new to chickens and if adults arrive here I will be terrified of them LOL)

Should I have more than one hen with a rooster? Or should he have several ladies to look after?

Can someone please tell me if they know of anyone (or have any themselves) that breeds these guys? I'm in Virginia, I prefer somewhat local because I know that no one is going to want to ship right now with the heat, and dang it, I want them NOW <stomping feet> :)

I know I probably should have put this in the "wanted" section but this is the Brahma thread, so I figured who would no better than everyone here?

Thanks!!
