Have you tried your local craigslist or listing on here? I dont know where you are, is that CA?

BTW: I love that Partridge roo, I just got my first brahma bantum, buff. She was born Nov 8 and is still afraid of me.

I am going to take them, the kids will have fun with them, I just have to figure out how to bring them up to closer to where we live.

It looks like he got quite a bit lighter, too. His brothers are driving all my hens crazy - we're building another coop/pen this weekend so maybe we can have a little peace! I'll be happy when they get out of the gotta have everything that moves phase.

He has gotten lighter. But he is like a dog, you can walk over and pick him up. I have two coops in the works as well, but only because I want to find some SQ lights maybe a quad and need a coop to raise about 20 young birds to maturity while I decide who stays and who goes.

I am getting eggs sent out from Tennessee and I am picking up a trio at a show the end of the month. Should give me a nice diversity in genetics!! I have been looking for a long time, didn't realize how hard they are to find. So thanks to everyone on BYC. Best thing I did was join.

My birdies are doing great and adjusted well to their new home. The rooster can reach my hands hanging at my waist and has taken to the habit of pecking at my electric blue winter gloves.

Scares me everytime. lol. It's not agressive but more like a curious - trying to eat peck. Now I walk into the coop with my hands up in the air trying to avoid the massive bird while I'm not paying attention. It's pretty hilarious.

I've never had birds like these. I walk right over and around the flock of them and they don't even move. I have to literately push them to the side with my foot to get around them. And because of their large feet and foot feathers they are rather clumsy and stumble everytime I do. haha. You can pet and pick up and move them and they are completely calm. They act really old, and have this wise look, even though I know they are only about 1 1/2 years. My bantam cochins love them and keep squeezing into their pen even though they are about equal to one of their feet and easily fit under their bellies.

Wish they would start laying, I'm so anxious to get some chick hatching underway!

They are Regal birds.

I reccommend SQ brahmas to everyone! They have major wow factor. PQ brahmas make sweet, and gentle layers and broodies as well. Never had a mean one. The roosters crows are so deep and lovely. Not a bad thing about these big boys except maybe the fact they eat like horses, and they take two arms to hold.
