My new Light Brahma Cockerel, finally out of quarantine, and NPIP tested. Picked this young fellow up at the Dayton Fancy Feather Club show, his brother took champion Asiatic there. He will head up my blue light project pen.

Very nice Gary. Excellent color. Nice wide back and great tail. You might as well throw a couple of Light females in the pen. In addition to your project birds you could have some show birds too.

I got some light brahma standards from Big R and they looked exactly like yours. They remind me of Happy Feet!! Now they're 2 months old and look just like a light brahma should (not show quality I'm sure). However I can see questioning it since the other chicks don't look the same!!

I'm planning on ordering some brahma pullets and a roo. I can't decide which colors I like best so was thinking of ordering an assortment of all 3 colors. Is there any particular color Roo I should pick so that resulting chicks can still be all 3 colors? Is there an easy to understand Brahma color chart? My favorite color for the Roos are the dark but I wouldn't want to limit the colors of the resulting chicks because of that color choice. So can a dark roo mated with the three standard hen colors result in chicks of all 3 colors?
