I think its just too soon to tell. Be patient. I know from experience in my line of bantams that the light females begin to feather in the saddle area before the males. That may or may not be true in your birds. Band them and take lots of notes. Maybe it will give you clues for sexing in the future.

Patience and lots of note taking it is then! Actually I have a quick question please - might it be that over this side of world things could be backwards? What I mean is because of my location being Thailand, could feather growth be the other way around and males feather in quicker than females?

The reason I ask is because tonight the two bigger chicks (chicks A & B) who are both feathering in quicker than the third, did a little bit of chest bumping.....male behavior maybe?

Hi Silky,

My username is thailand because I live in Thailand. I'm a New Zealander who's been living here for the last 6 1/2 years with my husband and two adult children. We have taken 5 abused Thai kids into our home and love them as our very own kids, so our family has now grown to nine people and still growing! I'm a very busy mum who has been raising chickens (Brahma) for only 7 months! LOVE MY CHICKENS!!! There is sooo much to learn and it's been/is a steep learning curve.

brahma's have single combs?! we have two brahma breeders in our area and they have ones with single combs?

Don't know about Australia. The U.S. standard calls for pea combs. If it does not have the pea comb it is not a Brahma. Like Zach said, cross at best.
