Beautiful Brahmas RedRoosterFarm... I might have to get some eggs from you !!!!![]()
I think the only thing that disapoints me with these birds is they are a work in progress. They sometimes have a single comb rather than a rosecome. I sell all the ones with single comb becasue I want to breed the best. I have also had several colors from the gold laced- from mohogany to red and everything in between and also a few bluish. THEN THE BUFF LACED ARE PRETTY SOLID BUT A FEW WASHED OUT LIGHT BUFF LACED COLORS. tHEY ARE A WONDERFUL BIRD THOUGH.
Brahmas have PEA combs, not rose. Type makes the breed, color=variety. If you really want to breed the best, get rid of all the crow-headed birds as well. Some of your birds appear to have decent type. I would only breed from them.

Tim you must type faster than me. We had similiar thoughts on the subject.
Brahmas have pea combs.
The key to projects like this is to only use the birds with the very best type, color, and lacing in your breeding pens. It is much better in the long run to breed from a small group of your best birds, than to include marginal quality birds in your breeding pens. The quality of the next generation of chicks is the direct result of the care the breeder takes in choosing their parents.
That there is always my belief.
