That bird is not even two months old. ANYONE who tells you one way or another on a large brahma that age does not know what they are talking about. IF you are going to raise the big birds you will need to be more patient. You just ignore sound advice hoping SOMEONE will tell you what you want to hear.

At least a year old before I would cull a brahma, but that's just me

I just wanted to see if the comb was fine. That was my only concern with that bird.

Maybe you should consider bantams. They mature more quickly.

I'm going to stick with the LF brahmas. I just keep asking because I want to see if any of these "problems" are bad things. I do appreciate all of the help. I will just keep all of these birds until they are eight months old. This time I plan on hatching brahma chicks in the fall. This will allow me to show them earlier the following year. Probably so they hatch at the beginning of october that way my birds will hopefully be ready for shows starting in the summer.

I think feathered legs is dominate. I have been thinking of crossing a silkie and a Brahma. Incubators are stressful to use so I want to make a few extremely broody birds. That might be an interesting looking bird though .....

That would be fun to see a brahma x silkie. Post pictures if you do it. I bet it would be cute.

I just had to pop in and see all the brahma's. We have a light brahma roo. He's a year old, and a good boy. I'm not an expert in great show quality, but he's worth watching to us. He's pretty nice to the girls and is quite entertaining.

Here he's doing is "hey baby look at me" dance. LOL. None of the girls seem interested dude, but you just keep dancing.
