They are beautiful, Sally! Now I have to show a few of mine!

New color I'm working on, kind of a lemon blue
Love them!!! I like that both of our blues have that totally awesome butt leg fluff!!! Some of the ones I looked at arent as big nor as fluffy..... I think the Roos are AWESOME and also very friendly!!! I am such a sucker for blue coloring!!

I will have a hard time with a cull, may have to send them out to get processed. Not a deed I like anymore, why is it when you get old, ya get all tender and that old hunter lady and tough girl just flew out the window!!!! I guess we just learn to count our blessings and respect all we have! and only ask for what we need.

I love the lemon blue! Look how much lighter!! I was looking at some other breed that had the lemon blue and it seemed like the lemon was the more prominent color, but I love that blue can still show through so well in yours!!! That Roo is cool, stands nice and tall doesnt he! He is like "look at me, look at me, thats right, look at me" LOL

Sally you are a very lucky lady. Your birds are beautiful!
oh and I forgot..... They may be pretty but dont come close to your birds!!! I LOVE THEM!!!! and I didnt put the time into them like you have yours!!!

I do know how lucky I am to have gotten them so easily!! and for FREE!!!!! I say a thank you to God, everytime I sit with them.

I have a few LF gold laced Brahmas. My question is, How large do they get? how can you improve the lacing? I got mine at rarebreedauctions DP lines. Thanks

Does anyone know of a good breeder of show line buff brahma standards that will ship birds or eggs to Ontario, Canada? Also would take some really nice dark and lights to improve our lines.
Thanks
Don

What does LF mean?
Help with the abbreviations. I know SQ means show quality. LB is light brahma?

I am happy with my hatchery quality brahmas due to their great temperament. However, I am noticing how small they are compared to other people's brahmas on this thread. Do only the breeders get the bigger birds? Also, my concern with the breeder quality is do they sacrifice egg laying productivity for the physical traits?

To improve lacing in your flock, use only the better laced birds for your breeders. Hatch as many chicks as you are equiped to handle, cull down to the best typed, patterened birds to be kept for breeders. Using lesser quality birds in your breeding pen will only take you farther from your goal.
