Brand new SILKIE CHICKS ~ is this normal??

Mine seemed to be loudest just as they are hatched, then fairly quiet...until someone starts to zip and peep. They all started up at 5 this morning so I rolled outta bed to take a look. Sure enough, a newbie was quietly chirping and the "hatchlings" were hollering encouragement... I love it! The oldest chickie pecked the newbie a couple of times then collapsed in a heap right on top of it, sound asleep. When I left for work the 3 were in a pile, spread eagled on the bator floor, out cold. OOOOOO HOW I WISH I WAS HOME WITH THEM NOW!!! Don't you just love their little antics??
