I love this recipe...
BREAD PUDDING
2 - eggs
1 C. - sugar
1/8 C. - vanilla
1/2 tsp. Cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
2 - C. Milk
4 - Tbsp. Butter
8 or so - Ol' Fashionhen's buttermilk biscuts
Preheat oven to 350. In a large mixing bowl beat the eggs until frothy. Add the sugar, cinnamon, vanilla and nutmeg. Beat well. Add the milk and butter. Mix well, now add about five biscuts crumbling them as you add to the mixture. Add another biscut as you go until you reach the consistency of a wet stuffing ( not too wet or your pudding will be soggy, unless you like soggy bread pudding some do, even seepy, not me), Then place in a 9 x 13 lightly greased pan for about 30 minutes.
BOURBON SAUCE
1 stick - butter
1 - C. granulated sugar
1 - egg, beaten
up to 1/4 C. - Boubon ( I like about 3 tbsp.)
In the microwave heat the butter and sugar until sugar is dissolved
(do not burn the sugar, keep checking it). Add the egg and whisk rapidly so the egg does not scramble. Add the bourbon and mix.
Cool and serve on top of your bread pudding.
