I love making breakfast pizzas. They are soooooooo yummy
I make my own pizza crust (using the Gump Bread recipe)
I use already made country gravy as the sauce (I use my own with the grease from the bacon & sausage)
I then add bacon or ham or sausage (sometimes all 3)
then I add onions and peppers
then some cooked scrambled eggs (ours chicken eggs) of course
then I cover it with cheese
Bake it just like you would a regular pizza.
now I want one but I have to go and help hubby work around the house. SO enjoy!!!!!!
No I do not pre bake and I do not let it rise. if you use the recipe as Gumpsgirl has it there is enough for 2 to 3 pizza dough's, it just according how big your pan is. We use a 16 inch pan. All I do when the dough is mixed is I spray my pan. add just a shaking of cornmeal to my counter and roll out the dough and lay it on hte pan. The dou will do its rising in the oven while baking. Now I run my toppings as close to the edge as possible. You can also make a stuffed crust, all you have to do is roll out your dough just a little biger than your pan and add mozzi cheese sticks torn in half and then roll the dough over them....when I do this, I run the topping to the edge of the crust.
