Breaking State Laws

Another friendly reminder:

If you are NPIP certified any bird, egg or chick that leaves your farm should be accompanied by a VS Form 9-3. If you do not have these forms, you need to contact whomever runs you NPIP program in your State and acquire them.

After looking up my state laws, I'm glad that my birds are all local birds (furthest are from 2 hours, but still in my state). I'll probably try to purchase PA birds, simply because I like to support my own state, and because it will be much easier, lol.

I'm a tester, and will test for other people. Here in WI the gov. gets on you case if you import birds (eggs) and they end up with pullorum. They wipe you out and you can't own birds again, also we have WI tested and NPIP they are generaly the same thing, one costs you less than the other and other states can or can not say its OK.

Nope no hall monitor, I was the one getting in trouble all the time.
Didnt say everyone, but many.Yes all you have to do is check the book to see who is NPIP tested. Dont think the states will do that????

See many people get in trouble when importing deer, not
long before they start on birds and hatching eggs

Just sharing info, sure alot of people didnt know they were breaking the laws.

No longer than I have been on this forum, I know some members shipping eggs without the proper paper work.

Sure if I know, would NOT take long before Big brother could find those. NO I would never turn anyone in.

I try to help other, not trying to get anyone in trouble.

that is why i ship EATING eggs,,, if they put them in the bator,, then its not my fault

Has anyone ever tried searching the list?!? Be aware that just because you cannot find them does not mean they are not on there. Unless you already know the person's NPIP number, good luck finding their listing online. I've tried more than once. I wasn't able to find people I KNOW have their NPIP numbers, so good luck finding people you're not sure of!

And any printed book can't be exactly up-to-date either, not at the rate people are applying for numbers!
