My babies

My sad little 8 day old Blue Orpington who is miraculously still alive and smaller than the newborn Bredas.

The beautiful silver color of the Breda when she first hatched, she dried in my hand on my chest.

Here she is all dry - guessing a 2nd splash color

Both bredas and the orp. They didn't care for the slippery floor.

This is the Breda I think is a black??

By the way...these chicks have tons of yellow in their down. I seem to remeber that someone said that the yellow is ussually is a recessive color pattern showing through (I think???) It would be intresting to see some test mates on the Breda to see what recessives they carry.

Just a question, where did you all buy your eggs/chicks? I purchased mine off of ebay from a user Polybiss.

I got mine from H&H Rare Breed Poultry in PA. I went to go buy all their silkies and saw like 30 Breda chicks in their brooder and begged the fiancé to let me get 2 lol. We walked away with 12 chickens.
