I apologize for the duplicate photos, I've tried 3x to upload correctly and each time it gets worse!View attachment 1054014 View attachment 1054014 Hi! I'm fairly new to chickens. Got my first girls April of 2016. Eenie, Meanie, Miney, Moe, Catcha, and Tiger I got hatching eggs this April as I suspected my Barnevelder (Moe) was broody. She hatched 10 babies from a "rainbow" dozen and has raised them up good. They are now about 2 months and I need to start thinning out the flock. Can anyone help me identify their breeds and genders? Thanks! Hoping to finish it off once I decide who I'm keeping Sadly Eenie has to be replaced, we lost her at Christmas.I LOVE THE NAMES!!!!!!!
With "rainbow" eggs...I'd need to know where you got them as they could be mixed breeds.
I can tell you that you have two roosters for certain.
Here:
and here (bird in top right corner):
I'm thinking mostly mixes, with possibly your barred bird being a Cuckoo Marans....also watch the blue bird next to the barred in that photo...that might be a rooster too as that comb is a bit pink...but right now I'm calling that a pullet.
It would help to know where you got the "rainbow" eggs...from a hatchery? or from a backyard breeder?
Nice flock. Sorry for the loss of Eenie. Good job to Moe. (Broody mommas are the best).

I figured those two you mentioned were roos. I had another gray one but it died somehow I think the other blue Gray you mentioned is a pullet as the hatch mates both have(had) the obvious combs. I'll attach a screenshot of the description from the farm I bought the "rainbow" from. I think I know which two are the ameracauna/olive eggers/Easter eggers, and I believe the one too to be a laced Wyandotte. I'm questioning the blue/Gray's, the white, the red, and the blackish/blue if anyone can help with those! Thanks!
