Production Red pullet. She is a darker red than many hatchery quality Rhode Island Reds or Production Reds, but still not dark enough to be a purebred, heritage-type Rhode Island Red.

Agreed with them....

But the second one that's barely showing... maybe boy.

Looks like thicker legs and possible saddle feather coming in. Would have a significantly bigger comb than that pullet though, by now.

Maybe just a bigger chicken... Comb and waddles don't look boyish at all and that is a very significant indicator! (especially by this age)

Have you named your two pretty ladies?
