Breed and gender?

Hey you guys,

Just added a new member to the family. I have 3 RIR's and 1 B.O. and got this one today from someone that couldnt keep it. Im new at the chicken thing and myself would just say " hey is this one of those standard eventually food on the table birds?" lol. But would like it if someone could actually give me a name and maybe even tell me if you think it's a hen or rooster.

It looks like a White Plymouth Rock. Do you know how old it is?
