Breed Help: Confirm these are actually Easter Eggers and not Ameraucanas

Well that is what I assumed, but we took a photo of the sign....
Huh. Well that’s not cool. I’m assuming your TSC gets their chicks from Hoover? Hoover’s site doesn’t even show they carry AmerAUcana, just the inappropriately named AmerIcana. (Don’t get me wrong, I’ve got at least two of these!! Hoping at least one will lay a blue egg. Pretty girls)

Honestly, I am surprised they are still getting away with the clearly "false advertising" as there is a ton written about this online. The only ones I feel bad for are the unknowing 4H kids who think they can show them and can't. (Certainly not our situation, but I have read about that being an issue for some families)

Me again with my "triplets" bought at TSC. These sweet girls are about 6 months old. Knowing what I know about the misrepresentation at the chain stores, I assume they are EE hens, but I figured I would ask the experts. It's funny, I have had backyard chickens since 2012 and only now am really paying attention to what breeds we may have, LOL (probably because we love them all!)

What beautiful birds! Very striking feather pattern, and nice tails! I have an EE with a very similar pattern, and she is lacking in all her tail feathers but a few. :idunno It seems to be a genetic thing.

I purchased two pullets from TSC that had the same signage. I was excited about blue eggs. But as they got older things dod not look correct. So I researched the breed. I thought it was odd that one had yellow legs, then that one started crowing. After that the one female lays green eggs. So. I got EEs. Now I know better. I still love my birdies. My silkie is not pure either.

Yeah, the more I researched, the more stories I read of really disappointed families. I had no real expectations so I was not disappointed as much as curious. I will report that one of my triplets does indeed lay blue eggs, so I feel like that is a bonus that I never anticipated 😊

I'd love help confirming this is an EE
