that's the truth Cap - lots of weird people running around loose with too much time on their hands. Read in the news that in one area someone is killing cats running loose.

Been there, seen that. But i adore my Tolbunt Polish!
I get that, but I don't live on a farm. I live on less than a quarter acre, so my backyard flock really is a backyard flock. The only people who visit me are family and friends, none of which own chickens themselves. So I'm not too concerned with security, bio or otherwise.I mostly keep people away from my place for security reasons. You never know what some folks might do.
Those are such lovely birds! Maybe someday.......Here are a few pictures of my AC's, one has color leakage, though:

Of course any roo would have to be named Darth Vadar
My wishlist includes:
Ameraucanas
Salmon Faverolles
Cream Legbar
Olive Eggers
I love variety when it comes to looks and eggs colors so I am always contemplating what I could add to our flock.
Currently we have:
2 Buff Orpington
2 Silver Laced Wyandottes
3 Black Copper Marans
1 Light Brahma
1 Buff Brahma
5 Easter Eggers
1 Favaucana
1 Black Sexlink
1 Gold Sexlink
1 Bantam Silkie pullet
1 Bantam Silkie Cockerel
I would like some true Ameraucanas & possibly the legbars to get bluer eggs. And of course the Olive Egger to get those pretty army green color eggs. The Salmon Faverolles are just because they are so pretty!
I will see if I can get a good picture of her tomorrow. She is a lovely bird and will look even more lovely once she gets her full wing feathers back(they are clipped at the moment). We adopted her from a family in town that could no longer keep her as she was too loud and their neighbors were complaining. They got her as a chick from My Pet Chicken hatchery. We have 10 acres so her talking and squawking doesn’t bother anyone here.Have any favaucana pics you could share? Does it look more faverolle? And where did you get it?

I find all black birds boring.l love color!
I agree for the most part but there's something to be said about the colorful sheen on some black feathers when the light hits it. You see purple and green and it's very pretty.
I was about say just that! They look like an oil slick, kind of shimmery. Plus the shock factor for people who've never seen them before.

Yes they are expensive. The family we got her from said she was expensive but didn’t really say exactly how much they paid. I was shocked at how much the chicks go for!Ok great! MPC is the only place I've seen advertising them. They are so expensive there though!
