Yes they are expensive. The family we got her from said she was expensive but didn’t really say exactly how much they paid. I was shocked at how much the chicks go for!
She had some feathers on her legs but has since lost them. I am unsure whether she broke them off foraging or if it is scaly leg mites. I have been applying coconut oil. May have to switch to vasaline and see if that stays better. She is a regular little pioneer when it comes to foraging and usually leads the flock so I would be surprised if the feathers broke off.
ETA scratch that on the permethrin. I'm not sure it'll work and sounds like you're on the most recommended track already!
