Yes they are expensive. The family we got her from said she was expensive but didn’t really say exactly how much they paid. I was shocked at how much the chicks go for!

She had some feathers on her legs but has since lost them. I am unsure whether she broke them off foraging or if it is scaly leg mites. I have been applying coconut oil. May have to switch to vasaline and see if that stays better. She is a regular little pioneer when it comes to foraging and usually leads the flock so I would be surprised if the feathers broke off.

She's cute as a bug but she looks a lot like a blue EE. Doesn't permethrin treat scaly leg mites? I'll check and let you know.

ETA scratch that on the permethrin. I'm not sure it'll work and sounds like you're on the most recommended track already!:woot

Yes she does look an awful lot like the EE girls with the exception of the weird 5th toe. Her toes really are funny looking!
 
I've got what I want right now (Partridge Chanteclers and Silver Ameraucanas) but I wouldn't mind a Sumatra pair around.
