Yeah, they are more cautious of there surroundings and stand pretty much vertically.

not usually, they are already hormone filled at this point, taming is best done when they are still a chick

It doesn't always work even, some roosters are nice, and some are just aggressive.

for our rooster, we handled him daily up to 8 months of age. But we had an odd situation. We used to live somewhere where roosters were not allowed, so we decided to move. However, we took about a month or two to actually move out. So we used to pick him up every night, put him in a dog cage thing, put water and food, pet him, hand feed him, and wake up to bring him out in the morning. So I am guessing thats what kept him so calm? But yeah...it wasnt the best life for him, but now he enjoys his hens all night long without being "illegal"
