Look like EEs or barnyard mix. Where did the neighbor get them?
I believe they were a purchase from Tractor Supply or similar for kids and the family figured out they didn't know how to take care of chickensEaster Egger's or some other mix... Oh good, chances are high that they are Easter Egger not barnyard mix if from TSC. Your friend will really enjoy EE's. They're usually very sweet birds and they lay gorgeous blue and/or green eggs.I believe they were a purchase from Tractor Supply or similar for kids and the family figured out they didn't know how to take care of chickens![]()

Then probably EEI think he said Tractor Supply or a farm store
Easter Eggers are mixes of chicken breeds that carry genes for colored eggs (not all chickens do). Because EEs are random mixes of those breeds, they can have any combo of traits like crests, straight, pea, or rose combs, 4 or 5 toes, feathering on the legs, and such. But with the color gene you'll get colored eggs: shades of blue & green. In a different gene pool there are EEs that lay beautiful chocolate brown eggs. (But there's always a chance of white, cream, tan & brown.)What are EE's? Sorry, new to chickens
