Breed?

I am posting a few pics of the same rooster, he is 6 months old and huge. does anyone know what he could be. I call him my show baby.

Totally guessing here, but I'm going to say Silver Laced Wyandotte.

I'll be checking back to see if I'm right.

ETA: He's very handsome.

Thank you. I thought RIR were bigger? At 6 months he was bigger.

My guess would be Silver Laced Wyandotte. He is a very pretty boy. I'm not sure if the RIR would be bigger or not - but I'm sure someone on here will know.

ehh i think he looks more like a black sex link. thats what all mine look like. does he have a little brown scattered through out him?

I have SLWs and RIR that are almost 5 months old. The RIR are taller but the SLW are a bit heftier I guess.

I can try to get some photos today if you're interested in seeing them. My SLW defintiely has more pronounced lacing on his breast than the bird in your photos but much less lacing than the hens.

Here's my 5 month old SLW rooster. We call him Gene because he looks a bit like Gene Simmons

I think he is a type of australorp.

Where did you get the bird from ? It would help in finding out what he is.. Im leaning more towards a mutt. Most of the breeds listed here are yellow legged and he is not. Doesn't look like a australorp and is a largefowl.. So rules out Sebright.
