Breeders Arrested in LA / Dead chickens in bedroom

As for the family taking care of the kids.....just gotta say this, having really bad family (and not knowing their condition) does not make you bad. My mother is raising my cousins daughters. When we got them out of there they were 4 and had been literally tortured since they were infants. None of us knew what was going on...they were not people we associate with......being related doesn't mean you are close.

Anyway, this is just a horrible story all around.

The family member not knowing the condition is the only reason that I could come up with as to why something wasn't done about this earlier.

I know that just because a family member or two are bad persons, doesn't make you a bad person. I think that most families have at least one or two bad apples in the barrel, but that doesn't mean that the whole barrel is bad...lol

I know that are a lot of people that are related that are not close. I guess because all of my family members are pretty close, then it is harder for me to understand.

I was not downing the family member. I am just concerned about the children.

Thanks for the info olddairyfarm . I just saw the v-clip! And to find out there are 5 children involved! It's a crime shame! Not only are those poor children exposed to deplorable conditions. But these parents are raising them to be just as careless as themselves. You know, I am the last to judge a family in need. BUT! If you are having a hard time keeping up the house and the kids AND the animals....GET RID OF THE ANIMALS!!!

:aww Just as another couple is doing on another post here on BYC. Their reasons are unfortunate that they have to leave the farm. BUT THEY CARE ABOUT THEIR LITTLE CRITTERES!! Enough so they are wiiling to find good homes for them.
THAT! Is taking REAL responsibility!
Anyway. I needed to rant some more about this. IT is just horrible. I wish I was closer to go get some of these critters!

People around here do it all the time. They buy animals cheap, or pick up free ones, at one place and sell them for more at another. Unfortunately they also usually dont take care of them in between either. They make a lot more money that way than they could feeding breeding animals. The article said they were selling them at swap meets. Ppl who hoard arent able to part with any of theirs.
