BREEDING FOR PRODUCTION...EGGS AND OR MEAT.

I have some chicken trachea from processing some birds. I'm thinking to dehydrate, not sure if I want to use my raw food dehydrated, or bake at 200 in the oven. Suggestions?

There are vendors selling this stuff at the dog shows. The chicken trachea are exactly the right size for my toy dogs.

If you have a dehydrator that has temp adjustments (like mine) then there is a setting you are supposed to use for meats that is hot enough to kill the bacteria without cooking the meat too much, use that setting for jerkey and such. Also, dogs are pretty resilient to bacteria, so I wouldn't worry too much, my cats and dog eat raw chicken daily as their meal.

Yay, my first F3 just hatched! 7/8 Dark Cornish

By my group of F1 Dark Cornish Cockerels and my F2 3/4 Dark Cornish pullets.
Looks to be blue. These eggs were laid a week after Hurricane Hermine ripped through my coop.

Congrats! can I see a pic of this chick all dried off?

Hoping to set a second generation from a project either this or next month..

I'm selecting for the spring breed pens. These two hens will go with the the rooster on the right in the next photo. His comb is smoother and more to Standard than the rooster in this photo. He will be in a pen with hens that will balance his comb..

The rooster on the right will go with the two hens in the above photo as a trio in one pen. One of those hens is at the bottom of this photo. The rooster on the left will be in a pen with hens that should balance his rough comb.

This hen will be in a pen with the rooster with the rough comb in the first photo and other hens not shown in a photo.

I have 8 other hens that made it thru the selection process and I will select two more hens to go in each pen. The rest of the keeper hens will be paired with my White Wyandotte for a third pen.

How old are they? Are these from this year's hatch? Very nice!

Thanks and cute chicks! btw skunk is likely a cockerel and a barred/cuckoo.

what color were the parents? a little confused by the parents listed as dark cornish- are they crosses with the whites so the parents are different colors or..?
Cockerel group of pure Dark Cornish

Pullet group of 3/4DC 1/4CX - white or splash in color
