I don't like the naked necks there creepy looking
LOL! I've met a lot of people who think this, but I would bet that if you spent a little time with them you would come to understand their appeal. When I first bought my NNs I did it for purely utilitarian reasons, not because of their looks. I'd read repeatedly that they're well-adapted to hot climates, and that has certainly proven true. But I discovered something else about them....they're fantastic! They have wonderful personalities, are very friendly and downright affectionate, incredibly hardy and healthy, and have proven to be a nearly perfect dual purpose birds, supplying me with lots of eggs, lots of meat, and an outstanding food conversion ratio compared to some of my other breeds. Now, after owning them for over a year I find them to be quite beautiful. I guess they're an "acquired taste".
