So, horses are the weirdoes... now I'm going to have to check my stallions undercarriage and make sure there isn't something I missed! I know he hasn't had anything removed down there... lol
I don't believe anyone who chooses to farm as a business or hobby is living in leisure. That is unless you pay people to do the work for you!![]()
Yep, I totally agree. After we retire in the not too distant future we're planning on being full time farmers and doing that till we end up getting planted ourselves. It can be physically exhausting at times but I always feel like a million dollars at the end of the day when I look back on what we did during the day.True, but having grown up in the rat race with only recent exposure to farming, I'll take farming over the corporate life any day of the week. There's something restorative about working with animals and dirt out in the elements every day. Even yesterday when we were enduring constant rain from a hurricane that moved over the area, I wouldn't trade my time as a "farm girl" for anything now....though I'm still adjusting to the title. I didn't consider myself a farmer until other people started calling me that.
A few of you have seen an old pic of me but the one I showed likely doesn't look at all like me now. In the last 6 weeks or so, I've lost about 25 pounds and NO...I do NOT have any immune deficiency syndrome. But I have had very serious problems and had to eliminate a few of them. I didn't need to lose the weight either.
