Breeding Phesants to free range???

I just love them....they are so funny to watch and are always doing something amusing.....like two spoiled bored children...lol

They are always doing something... I had made a floating feeder for my swans until they used it as a amusement ride and sunk it.......
They are very curious and notice anything different. They love throwing sticks and moss in the air and them jumping on it as they dance in a circle.. Beautiful to watch. I would really love to get more cranes.... They are amazing even thou you can't pet them etc... They will come up to me to see what Im doing. I have many pics of them over in ornamentals. I've raised these from three months old.
Very nice looking birds.Do you know Pete Nardi in Mass.?He has the West crowned cranes and boy are they aggressive when you get near their nest.He plant shrubs in the far corner of the pen to keep them from the open and they made their (so called) nest right in front of the door.Their nest consisted of maybe 5 sticks just scattered not even in a circle, just spread around in a 18"space.He recieved a breeders award thru the APWS 2 months ago and really does great at hatching a little of everything. All of his birds are tame and I'm sure that when I visit him again, there will be a big difference in the west crowned cranes.

Hehe.....sounds like something they would do.... Yes, I've been told they can be aggressive when nesting.....often called dragon birds. :p mine are still fairly young but i only handle them to check weight etc....and i have to be very careful of my face as that is their first aim when frightened. Im afraid i don't know as many peopl as id like..... I stumbled into all this from just getting a few chickens... And then found more that i love.
