Breeding silkied Cochin bantams to the Standard

Pics
Those little Sterling babies are feathering in with darker secondaries, but beautiful, light blue primaries and foot feathers. :love

Despite that I only hatched 4 of them, I think I'm going to have to call it on hatching season for the year. I just have so much going on with the semester coming up and all of the stuff they want me to get done having been accepted into the program I applied for. On top of that, it's looking like a cockerel-heavy year with what I've already hatched, and I'm not really sure how I'm going to house all of them as is until they're big enough to judge so I know who to keep and who to sell (or soup). :th

I'll have to get them out of the brooder to get better pictures of those pretty feathers they have coming in and show them off, but for now here's one of them and one of the Blue babies from the red band batch peeking out of the brooder at me the other day :love
