I want to breed a type of breed that is right for me. This breed must be... Cold tolerant, Good layer. It also must be Exciting, And Exotic!!

Faverolles are very cold hardy, steady layers, adorable and fluffy faced! They come in only a few colors though. Salmons are the prettiest in my opinion. Here's an example:

I am very impressed with the hardiness of Brahmas. There are only three colors recognized, but lots of exciting colors coming up! They also are very tolerant of the heat.
Welsummers are very hardy, and they are the classic chicken. They are beautiful! They are only recognized in Partridge, but Silver and Golden Duckwing are on the way. They are very good layers of very dark brown eggs.

That rooster's comb is abnormally large. ALso, there are some very enthusiastic breeders of Wellies on this forum that woulyou get started
Marans are also good layers of dark brown, almost black eggs; I have heard that they are hardy but they are very expensive right now.
That's all I can think of, I don't have my APA standard with me so I can't think of anymore off the top of my head.

I once had a faverolle hen. Her name was Big Ugly.

She was non-bearded baby, so the breeder didn't want her. It was given to my friend, and then to me!
