I have a small flock of Toulouse geese. 1 male and three females. last year they produced a pile of eggs but I never saw them mate. Are geese just more private or is "Bernard" not doing his job? I could try a hatch but 4 of those things is enough for me . lol.

The reason I ask is i had a wild idea of offering my goose eggs for sale. not to actually make money but just a fun little project.

They probably are mating when you're not looking - I have yet to witness a gander breeding with my females, but the eggs are fertile.

That said, you definitely need to test your eggs before you sell them. It's not a good idea to sell eggs you don't know for sure are fertile by testing them. If you don't want to keep any more geese, then just sell any goslings you hatch.

You're welcome! And good luck :) Try not to get attached to the goslings if you want to sell them, haha. They are the cutest babies. I end up keeping at least one every year even if I'm not planning on it.

I would be interested in some hatching eggs
