breeding?

My swedish flower ducks are now around 13 weeks. It looked like today one of them tried to breed, but when the one got away it was like as if it never happene. Was this them trying to mate? Or is this just a mating experament, etc?

Hmm at 13 weeks its hard to say. It could of been them trying to mate or just a dominance thing. It takes them a bit to figure everything out and to be able to actually produce eggs. At around 18 weeks is usually the time they start to lay eggs.

Ah ok. Well they grew up with each other. So wasn't sure, love my ducks though. They are beautiful!
