I am from Rowlett/Rockwall, Texas but temporarily living in central Mexico. I have been searching everywhere to find out what breed my 7 week old chick is. I think it is a rooster. We have other chickens here where I live and I would like to find out the breeds. Here in Mexico there are so many chickens that free range. They are the main source of their diet.....the eggs.

All of the flock here free ranges and sleeps in the bougenvilla tree covering the patio cover. They are fed corn. There is also a black naked neck hen.

I will attach the pictures and if anyone knows what the breed of my chick or the others are, please let me know. I have done a lot of research, but no luck
picture:

2. mother hen and it's one chick
3. The rooster and one hen that stays with him at all times
4. The rooster
5. Hen hiding sitting on 2 eggs
6. my chick and it's sibling (before the dog got it)

Thanks so much!!
Dawn

Your chick is a cockerel. The hen sitting on eggs could be either a barred rock or a Cuckoo Marans depending on the color of her legs. The rooster might possibly be a black sex link, but I'm not positive about that. I'm not sure about any of the other breeds. If they all free range around there then they could possibly be mixed breeds.
