Bresse Chickens

Pics
Hi everyone, I am interested in having a flock of these Bresse to try out and prove how good they are. Can anyone recommend a reputable breeder or source for fertile eggs, or chicks or established breeding pairs? I know GFF carries them but quite honestly I am trying to keep away from the high price. I saw fertile eggs on ebay, anyone have any problems with those sources?

Thanks.

We would be happy to work with you if you're interested. We are on the west coast. Send us a PM or go to our website and send us an email.
Best,

Ya we got ours from chickentows pet rock. I vote I give you another rooster and we call it the Clovis line!

Chicken I have eggs as well but am also in the bay area. Us foodies on the left coast are breese affectionados! I will have trios young but sexable for shipping fairly soon too.

I have lost count on how many cockerels I have hatched this year from my starting trio. I hatch them here in town and then when they crow they go to the farm. I just took 3 more out there last Saturday. Two days later, I hear crowing from the pen that I thought only had one Langshan cockerel in it. I saw him crow but heard someone else crowing, also. So, I guess one fooled me and with the removal of the more dominant cockerels, he felt safe to let loose. I think that they are all going to the farm this weekend since we processed our extra roos and have an empty hoop pen. This is just our building year so we haven't sold any eggs or chicks. We should have 2 or 3 breeding pens next spring and be overflowing with eggs and chicks.

That reminds me, chiqita. Did you see the articles that I have been sharing on FB? Here are the 3 articles that I posted. They have just added to the reasons why I want to only eat chickens that I have raised and processed!
