Hey yall! Sorry I havent been on, I've been buildind a new coop for the silkies. Making a Doll House style. Not done yet. Just a little left to do, like finishing the siding under the peaks, trim work and then I gotta figure out what colors to paint it.(suggestions?) BTW, up to this point it hasnt cost me a dime! Built from sprap that has been in my garage. Even had some ceramic tiles left over from when we had our house built!!!...

I am putting windows in the empty spots under the peaks, right next to their roosting rod. Gonna be shaped like church windows. And I am gonna put a stovetop pipe type chimney on the roof( to use as ventilation)...

Here's the tile I put inside and three nesting boxes...

And here is the new lavander Sikie roo(Punky) with his gals, Zsa Zsa, Eva and Magda...

I'll be on tommorrow(off and on). Hope everyone had a great weekend!


After looking at the pics, I think I am gonna take the "shingles" back off and round the bottoms so that you can see that they are individual wood planks.

They are cuties. See all this time it was raining you could have been in the garage. I think being cooped up has inspired you.

Good morning everyone!

I have finally put all the chicks in the brooders. I am done for a couple of weeks. I think I am going to stop incubating for a while. When the ones that are in there are done I don't think I will set anymore.(except for the showgirls I just ordered) I say this now, but who knows what will happen in a couple of weeks.
